Most boys have a model airplane or two. So does Jim Read, but his collection fills an entire hangar at Porter County Municipal Airport (VPZ) in Valparaiso, Ind., and every one of them is airworthy. Now, after a decade of sharing his collection with the public as the Indiana Aviation Museum, Read is selling most of them off and shutting down his museum.

Part of the magic of flying is that we can easily cross the vast spaces that separate us. The speed at which we bridge these distances can blind us to understanding their true inaccessibility. Hilton Software has released version 2.0 of AOPA Airports for Blackberrys. This upgrade features the addition of DUATS VFR filing capability, which allows users to store and retrieve flight plans for quick and easy repeat filing at a later date.
